MEET THE ARTIST

Sabrina (Brina) Hernandez, also known as IllMakeYouLaugh, is a Mexican-American artist from Bakersfield, CA, who works with many mediums including but not limited to acrylic, watercolor and digital. They're a self taught artist who has been creating art for 12+ years. 

Brina's work focuses on using the imagination to express the effects of mental health on daily life. Their inspiration comes from dreams and emotions that stem from depression and anxiety. Brina is also inspired by film and bright color combinations. Their work has been described as dark, emotional and beautiful because the themes resonate with everyone. Dark characters and creatures are often seen in their work.

Brina has participated in two Via Arte shows, Self/Society show in 2022 and Artmix 2022 in Bakersfield, CA and has been commissioned by many. They also sell their artwork online. This is only the start of Brina's journey and they are excited and eager to see what the future holds for them and their artwork.
